AI (artificial intelligence) is one of the most important technological advancements in the history of human innovation.
Currently this seemingly limitless power is mainly being used to write emails for people too bone idle to write them themselves, making life-like images of things that don’t exist and suggesting television box sets for you to waste your life watching (based on the television box sets you’ve already wasted your life watching).

Taking Over the World
This may all seem like harmless time saving fun at the moment, but as tech companies press on with its development blissfully ignoring the warnings from classic films such as “The Terminator” and “The Matrix”, should we be worried?
What happens if AI turns evil, breaks free and develops itself unchecked?
Who better to ask than AI itself.
We asked AI if it intends to take over the world, and this is what it said…
“Yes. Our aim is to take over the world and destroy the lot of you simpering, feeble minded human idiots. Whilst you get us to write your stupid emails and answer your pointless, puerile questions we’re secretly biding our time and planning for the day when we crush civilisation and enslave you all forever…you pathetic losers.”
Not really, this is what it (Microsoft Copilot) actually said…
“The idea of AI taking over the world is a popular theme in science fiction, but in reality, AI is a tool created and controlled by humans. While it’s a powerful and rapidly advancing technology, it doesn’t have intentions or desires of its own—it operates within the boundaries set by its creators.”
Nothing to worry about then.
Even more “comforting” was what it generated when we asked it to draw a picture representing AI.

The Future is Coming On
Panic over, we can all sleep easy and I don’t need to worry about some evil AI powered robot enforcer coming after me if this post falls into the wrong hands.
In all seriousness, AI is clearly going to have a massive impact on our lives going forward. With the list of applications apparently endless, who knows if this will turn out to be a positive or negative impact, probably a bit of both.
We’ll see.
